The indicator will display either green or red under normal conditions. The green light indicates that the primary tank still contains propane. When the main tank is empty, the propane automatic switching regulator knob will turn red, reminding you to turn the knob to point to the backup tank, making it the main tank, and causing the indicator to switch back to green.
The dual-stage design can maintain constant air pressure under changing needs and conditions. This allows empty tanks to be removed for refilling without interrupting the propane supply. In colder temperatures, you may see the indicator gauge read some red and some green. This is because the cold outdoor temperatures cause the pressure inside the cylinder to decrease.
The LP gas regulator is already drilled with mounting holes (M4 thread), and the propane regulator comes with an L-Mount Regulator Mounting Bracket and Screws for added convenience. The LP gas regulators and joints are made of premium die-cast aluminum and solid brass, with good anti-corrosion and heat-resistance performance to ensure safety and no leaks.
The propane auto-changeover regulator has a 1/4" SAE inverted flare inlet and a 3/8" female NPT outlet. It is rated for a flow of 190,000 BTU/hr. The 2-stage RV propane regulator is suitable for RV, trailer, truck, and backyard dual propane regulator tanks with a dual propane tank connection system, and it enables a smooth changeover from empty to full tanks.
The dual propane tank connection system allows you to connect two propane tanks at the same time. When the main tank is empty, the propane automatic switching regulator knob will turn red to let you know when a tank has been depleted and needs to be refilled. This reminds you to turn the knob to point to the backup tank, making it the main tank, and causing the indicator to switch back to green.
